Your number one news channel,TV3 has swept three awards at the Ghana National Honorary awards of fame, one for the channel itself and two others for distinguished journalists and presenters, Nana Aba Anamoah and Roland Walker.

At the event, former Minister of Health and vice patron of the honorary awards of fame, Major 'Rtd' Courage Quashigah challenged workers to exemplify hard work and perseverance as a way of fostering the country's growth and development.

The former Health Minister also advised Ghanaians to be circumspect and focus on improving work output.

The Ghana National Honorary Awards was instituted in 2008 to recognize hard work and devotion to duty.

The award also recognizes the contribution of the youth to national development and promoting peace in conflict areas.
More than one hundred organizations and companies were awarded.

Some individuals including the Ameer of the Ahamadiyya Muslim Mission, Maulvi Wahab Adam received awards.

TV3 was awarded for the outstanding performance before, during and after the December polls.

Two broadcast journalists, who also double as anchors, received separate awards for their contribution to peaceful elections in December.

This brings to three, the number of awards picked up by TV3, the highest among the electronic media

Some Senior High schools including children were also awarded for their outstanding performance over the year.

The vice patron of the awards, major 'Rtd' Courage Quashiga charged workers to exemplify hard work and perseverance in their work out put.

The country Director of the Ghana National Honorary Awards, Mawuli Asameni emphasized the need to strengthen women participation in nation building.
