TV3 has been honoured with the centenary Khilafat award by the Ahmadiyya Muslim mission for the network's outstanding contribution to education, religion and general efforts to give up to date content to viewers.
The Ameer and missionary in charge of the mission in Ghana, Maulvi Wahab Adam also presented three other organizations with awards to mark its centenary of existence in Ghana.
The Ahmadiyaa Muslim Mission was founded in 1908 and almost 20 years later, they were in Ghana to spread the faith.
To mark their centenary, the Ameer of the mission in Ghana, Maulvi Wahab Adam honoured the organizations for their dedication to society and their extensive commitment to the activities of the mission.
TV3 was honoured for making efforts to reach people from all diverse backgrounds and among others, advocating the cause of the minority in society.
Other media organizations received similar awards.
Maulvi Wahab Adam said the mission has invested in many farm plantations to complement efforts at improving the food situation in the country.
He said the mission will continue to invest in education and health in communities countrywide.
Maulvi Wahab Adam commended management of TV3 for adopting innovative technologies to improve coverage and programmes.
