G-GIRLS WIN GANG STARZ

The only female group, "G-Girls" have won the maiden edition of Gang Starz, organised by TV3.

They battled three other finalists to win the coveted prize of ten thousand cedis.

The show begun with a splendid performance by music and dance icon Slim Buster.

The programme begun with Pipers doing a rendition of Hugh Masakela's "homeless".

Da Soul, Blaze and the only female group in the competition, G-Girls folowed accordingly.

The second stage had a brief award ceremony to commend groups for excellent work done.

Pipers received an award for the best vocal group, though evicted, LS3 managed to get the prize of the best dressed group with the best stagecraft award going to Blaze.

In the third stage of the show, the evicted groups together with the final four, came together to perform an adaptation of R. Kelly's "storm is over".

Hiplife giants Praye and Kwaw Kese were also present to add flavour. Then came the much awaited moment.

Mcs Black Boy and Vashti decided to announce the results from the buttom calling out da soul who placed fourth for 3000 cedis.

Pipers placed third and won 4000 cedis. The whole auditorium sprung into jubilation when G-Girls were named winners.

G-Girls took home ten thousand cedis, while Blaze took 6000 cedis for the second position.
