Ghana's Most Beautiful
Ghana’s Most Beautiful, TV3’s beauty pageant with a unique cultural attachment that has lots of entertainment and educative programmes cannot be missed by the Ghanaian woman. This concept is to project the beauty of the Ghanaian woman and not to follow the western beauty.

It also aims at projecting Ghanaian values that are lost, that is, contestants do more research on where they are coming from to inform the public as a whole. Ten (10) young talented women will be selected to represent the respective regions they are coming from. This time, there is going to be live screening, confession room and activities will be changing.

NASARA CROWNED GMB 2009

21 year old Nasara, Northern Region's representative to this year's edition of the TV3 beauty reality contest, Ghana's Most Beautiful has emerged winner after several weeks of tasks and presentations.

The Level 200 student of Zenith University College won 38.50% of the public votes cast via SMS to clinch victory at the well attended finale held at the National Theatre, Sunday. Upper East's representative Lamisi took the second position with 36.33% of the votes, followed by Volta Region's Enam with 15.42%. Yaa was fourth with 9.75%.

The National Theatre was full to capacity last Sunday, 16th August 2009 as fans of the  contestants trooped there to witness the event live. Each finalist that mounted the stage, exhibited some level of maturity through stage performances to secure a win. And of course the presenter, Gideon Aryeequaye had always added more zest to the show. As usaul the Judges, Dr. Agyemang Osei, Nana Abena Afriyie and a guest but renowned Judge, Efo Kojo Mawugbe were around to comment on the show.

All the four finalists performed to the Judges satisfaction and were engrossed by the audience. The event compriesd of the fashion show and question and answer time. The contestants delivered well to soothe the ears and eyes of the Judges. Guest aritstes like Kofi Nti, Kofi B, Screw Face, K.K. Fosu and Slim Buster were around to set the stage on fire.

The competition which took off in 2007 has served as a gateway for contestants into the job market.

The redefined beauty contest, Ghana's Most Beautiful has over the years received high patronage, with some prominent persons taking keen interest in the programme.

The most recent is the chief of Tamale, Dakpema Naa Mohammed Dawuni.

Twice in the final, the Central region was crowned the first most beautiful queen.

After her aggressive and strong representation by the first Ashanti regional contestant, Adjoa, the region has since been left out in the last two finals.

The Voltarians have kept a clean sheet, ensuring they were always part of the final four.

Always the first to be evicted, Akasi's hope of changing the norm, though helpful could not materialize when she was shown the exit just two weeks to the final with the two time participants, Brong Ahafo, being the last to be evicted before each final.
